Nagoya Castle
Nagoya Castle is also a landmark of Nagoya. The two scissors shining in the castle tower are very famous.
This castle was built under the direction of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo period, and is a treasure trove of cultural assets that unravel the history.
There is also an area called Kinshachi Yokocho around the moat, where you can enjoy gourmet food featuring mainly Nagoya delicacies while looking at Nagoya Castle.
Good access from Nagoya Station by bus or subway in about 20 minutes. How about going out for a casual stroll?
Higashiyama Botanical Gardens
There are as many as 7,000 species of plants on display in the botanical garden.
The zoo also rears popular animals such as koalas, giraffes and Asian elephants.
One train ride on the subway from Nagoya Station. Easy access without the need to transfer. Please note that they are closed on every Monday.
Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium
Intellectual curiosity does not stop at the exhibition focusing on the characteristics of the seas around the world.
It is also famous as one of the few aquariums with killer whales in Japan.
